It's kind of surprising because the PB seems so well-spec'd. I’ve got both, I really like both, but for that vibe the Rev2 wins. The PolyBrute will do those types of sounds, but not as well as the Rev2 IMO. I guess my only remaining question is, how 'random' of a source mod can you sort of manufacture with some combination of the LFO S&H plus the LFO3 "xLFO1" feature? If you’re looking for BoC Prophet Rev 2 sounds, you might be better with a Prophet Rev 2. ![]() I guess my only remaining question is, how 'random' of a source mod can you sort of manufacture with some combination of the LFO S&H plus the LFO3 "xLFO1" feature? So I'm confident I can modulate other modulation amounts (looks very powerful!) ![]() To translate the above into something more real-world, see the attached YT video - I'm basically wondering if the PB can be used to produce these sort of dusty, warbly, BoC-inspired sounds:ĮDIT: I think I answered part of this by looking at the Polybrute "Connect" manual, which goes into a lot more detail on the mod matrix. Can a noise or random mod source be approximated with the xLFO1 feature on LFO3? I noticed there's no Noise source or dedicated Random source. if there's no full mod destination list anywhere, can anyone comment on whether modulation sources can modulate other modulation sources in the mod matrix? (for example, LFO modulating another LFO to produce something more complex, ditto for envelopes, etc.) in the PB manual, there is a list of mod sources but weirdly no list of mod destinations.is there somewhere to see a comprehensive list of the possible modulation destinations? Hi, I'm looking pretty seriously at picking up a Polybrute, but have some questions that I'm hoping some vet users here can answer: ![]()
